Watching for verification updates

If you're managing verification for your institution, you have to know a lot and you have to be up to date on any changes. Verification of FAFSA information is a frequent topic in communications from the Department of Education.

Most recently, an Electronic Announcement was issued on April 13 about 2017-18 verification reporting and verification status code "W" warning message. The announcement reminds schools about the W, V, or S codes reported to COD for each Pell Grant award disbursed to a student who was selected for verification.
